Inspired by writing poetry recently, or at least attempting to. In no way am I a professional poet, just a girl with a desire for self-expression! These poems are for pure enjoyment in the languages that I love (both original and from known poets from all over the world!)

Enjoy!

Paris is...

I haven't posted in a while and although I have been patiently waiting for an inspiration (while enjoying the MOST beautiful city in the world- no doubt!) I have come to realize that to write a poem about my favorite city from the heart, I don't need to wait because it's all right here under my door!

So, enjoy...and let me know what you think!!!:)

                  Paris is...

...a place where one discovers
a sense of life and what it really means
where a girl...a dreamer
dreams her dream
and learns so much about her inner "me"

...a city that may seem at first like any other
full of lights, people and a constant rush
but the fact is it's simply not just that

It's a place where one finds oneself
where any artist can get inspired at any given moment
and where a child's cultural sense nourishes without limits

So, a dreamer...dreams her dream...
But what happens when it's over?
Changes happen, realizations
and after "Paris"...
one may never really be the same!

Люблю...

Ok, it's been a while since I added my personal pieces..and I must admit that certain people's anxiety about reading my poems in Russian  didn't exactly help! But it's finally ready..and yes it was extremely difficult to choose the right words but here it is...hope you like it...I call this one: "the light and fluffy one"!
Enjoy!

Nemzeti Dal- Hungarian

So, while I am still in the process of writing my next masterpiece...I came across this- poem which I learned probably when I was 7 years old by Petőfi Sandor (the theme being Freedom!) I am aware that most people will not understand a word- but it's definitely part of my upbringing, so
enjoy!

Talpra magyar, hí a haza!
Itt az idõ, most vagy soha!
Rabok legyünk vagy szabadok?
Ez a kérdés, válasszatok! –
A magyarok istenére
Esküszünk,
Esküszünk, hogy rabok tovább
Nem leszünk!

Rabok voltunk mostanáig,
Kárhozottak õsapáink,
Kik szabadon éltek-haltak,
Szolgaföldben nem nyughatnak.
A magyarok istenére
Esküszünk,
Esküszünk, hogy rabok tovább
Nem leszünk!

Sehonnai bitang ember,
Ki most, ha kell, halni nem mer,
Kinek drágább rongy élete,
Mint a haza becsülete.
A magyarok istenére
Esküszünk,
Esküszünk, hogy rabok tovább
Nem leszünk!

Fényesebb a láncnál a kard,
Jobban ékesíti a kart,
És mi mégis láncot hordtunk!
Ide veled, régi kardunk!
A magyarok istenére
Esküszünk,
Esküszünk, hogy rabok tovább
Nem leszünk!

A magyar név megint szép lesz,
Méltó régi nagy hiréhez;
Mit rákentek a századok,
Lemossuk a gyalázatot!
A magyarok istenére
Esküszünk,
Esküszünk, hogy rabok tovább
Nem leszünk!

Hol sírjaink domborulnak,
Unokáink leborulnak,
És áldó imádság mellett
Mondják el szent neveinket.
A magyarok istenére
Esküszünk,
Esküszünk, hogy rabok tovább
Nem leszünk!

A Dreamy Affair

Dream or reality....there's always a thin line- one could say! Inspired by one of my favorite movies of all time "Unfaithful"  (which by the way most men fail to understand fully!)
For any women who ever struggled with the subject of "being faithful"! -ENJOY!
Her heart tells her to go for it
Her mind begs her to stop and wait
To think about the circumstance that'll change her life today

She walks into the restaurant
and waits impatiently for her fate
He greets her, they have dinner
They end up at his place

Her conciousness is stopping her
Her mind demands her to turn and run once more
To consider her own family
But the heart cannot escape

This urge of love, belonging, happiness
Which only comes once in a century
Cannot be fought, resisted, tampered with
And so   she gives in into her fate

The strokes, the passion, the tender kisses
That she so long forgot
Are there to comfort and assure her
That this is right, it's meant to be

It's done
She walks away confused
Not knowing what all of this really means
Crying, shaking like an abandoned child
Knowing this is it

She laughs, she cries
Her heart is full of passion
Unable to explain it all
But at the end she suddenly realizes
That this is just a DREAM.

Poem #2

This is a fictional piece...but one that I'm sure  many people have experienced at least once in their lifetimes!

HE

It was a quiet morning in northern Michigan
The wind was slowly settling in on the horizon
as the sprinkles gathered round
I sat enjoying the tranquility
for peace and calmness
was rarely in my cards

It rang
I opened
and there he was
so tall and handsome
just as I've envisioned him all these years
He reached out, as though to hug me
but I resisted  not knowingly

Not knowing that this would be our last "Hello"
our last "forgive me"
our last "goodbye"
Adieu!

It closed
he vanished
and my heart with him
for it is he who it was beating for.

Happiness

Positivity is crucial so...let's begin with this:

Happiness

Happiness is when you wake up in the morning
and you're thankful for the day you've had
when you blissfully go to work
with a quirk up on your lap
when nothing seems to bother you
and the world seems like a fairytale
and everything around you seems to twirl up in the air.

Happiness is a moment
a second in a lifetime
not to be mistaken for an hour, a day, even a year
for it's a millisecond of eternity
a butterfly jumping joyously in the abdomen
a feeling of hope, love and belonging
the treasure of all treasures.
